I made these great waffles last night. I like to make a batch and them freeze most of them so the kids can eat healthy waffles whenever they want. I modified this recipe from The Happy Housewife's recipe .
Here is mine.
Whole Wheat Waffles
3 cups whole wheat flour
1 tsp salt
1 tsp baking soda
2 1/2 tsp baking powder
4 tbsp ground flaxseed
1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce(instead of oil)
1/4 cup honey
3 cups buttermilk(I use powdered form and add water)
Combine all dry ingredients, then blend in all the liquid ingredients. Bake as you would in a waffle iron. Enjoy!
